Flock has released it’s first beta release of the Flock browser, aka Flock 0.7 finally. Lot of things changed since it’s first release and this Beta definetly looks great. Flock also got a redesign to it’s website, the first major project of extremely talented Bryan Veloso’s company. RIAA: Most P2P users aren’t even aware that files are able to be shared
The RIAA has been going around trying to villify P2P end users as “pirates” and “downloaders”,but on November 15, 2004, in testimony before the Federal Trade Commission, the RIAA admitted that most P2P end users whose files are in a “shared files folder” don’t even know that their files are in a shared files folder. As an initial matter, P2P software may, upon installation, automatically search a user’s entire hard drive for content. Files that users have no intention of sharing may end up being offered to the entire P2P network. Continued sharing of personal information is hard to avoid and is facilitated by confusing and complicated instructions for designating shared items. A study by Nathaniel S. Good and Aaron Krekelberg at HP Laboratories showed that “the majority of the users…were unable to tell what files they were sharing, and sometimes incorrectly assumed they were not sharing any files when in fact they were sharing all files on their hard drive. #.

This guide is a follow up to my series of Azureus articles that dealt with configuring and setting up the popular BitTorrent client. Now, I will discuss how you can share any file by creating and seeding a torrent. There are a number of reasons why using a torrent is more viable than simply serving the file yourself. Bandwidth costs will pretty much be eliminated as users individually serve pieces of the file themselves. Azureus will aid us in creating the torrent due to its compatibility with many different operating systems.

Some articles are pointing to out-of-date information claiming that WordPress 1.5 is vulnerable. That is incorrect. WordPress 1.5 or higher is safe. Since the release of version 1.5, WordPress has used a completely different XML-RPC library, called IXR.

AutoXDCC is a program that does the downloading of files from IRC automatically. This application has been in the works for the last few months by the staff here at IRCSpy. There is no need to copy/paste annoying connection lines to your mIRC client. AutoXDCC allows for multiple downloads on various networks at the same time. The program associates to a special .xdcc file extension which will be made available for download on our search engine.There is no need to download future updated versions of AutoXDCC due to the auto-update feature.
Once installed, all you will need to do is head over to our search engine and click on the little black icon for the xdcc download you want. You will be prompted for file download. Simply click open and AutoXDCC will load up and do the rest.
