• I got lot of bookmarks stored in my computer for a long time and I just transfered them to Del.icio.us using their cool import tool. To try it out, click on “settings”, then “import”. For most users the import is pretty quick. If you have a large number of browser bookmarks it might take some time to process. Once it starts, you can leave the import page and come back later to check the status. It even adds the popular tags to all of your bookmarks. when you import your bookmarks into del.icio.us it will mark everything as “not shared”, but you are free to share them at any time. Sharing is really what this site is about, after all. -->

Del.icio.us released their import tool couple of weeks back which I was waiting for a long long time. I missed it’s release while I was bizy with the redesign on my blog and 3 column k2 style. (more)

Flock it!

I just got an invite to try Flock Developer Preview, a new browser based on Gecko (the Mozilla/Firefox engine). Some of the features in Flock include:

    The Blog Manager.
    The Flickr Topbar.
    RSS integration.
    Favorites with del.icio.us integration .
    The Shelf.

Will post more on this once i try all the features. Oh btw this is posted from Flock’s The Blog Manager.

  • del.icio.us direc.tor is a prototype for an alternative web-based rich UI for del.icio.us.The main features are:

    1. In-browser handling of del.icio.us bookmarks (tested up to 12,000 records).
    2. Find-as-you-type searching of all your bookmarks, with basic search operators

    How do I use it?

Because of the restrictions on the browser, you’ll need to load this using a Javascript bookmarklet. Follow these four steps to get started:

    1. Create a bookmarklet by bookmarking the following link:
      del.icio.us direc.tor
    2. Go to any page on del.icio.us
    3. Launch the bookmark you just created while you are still on the del.icio.us page
    4. Login to del.icio.us, if prompted.
    5. Type in a search term or click a tag in the browser; click the column headings to sort
