3 Column K2 Release 4

Ok it’s time to release the 3 Column K2 for one of the SVN releases (k2-Beta.2-revision-344). When you enable the widgets, the sidebar looks awfull. So, for now you wont be able to use sidebar widgets in this release. I will have a look in to that asap and release an update. This svn release of K2 got Rolling archives and Live search integrated in to rolling archives. I have included the Akismet Spam count code in to this release of K2. If u dont want to show it, You can remove it from the sidebar anytime or you can even customize it if you like it. Ok withouht much delay download it and upload to your theme directory as a new theme and leave your comments if you find anything wrong.

You have to upload this release as a new theme. Dont replace the files from this release into your existing theme.

Will this update correct the horizonatl scrollbar problem?

  3. Posted 2 years, 2 months ago. Permalink

Could you make that available as a zip file?

John : It was never a problem in the previous releases as well. I still cant understand y you get that horizontal bar. All you have shown is an image of that, so I cant really comment on your problem. I hope this release works fine for you. :)

Robert: You can download the zip file now.

Thanks for that. BTW, is it just me, or is the link list missing on the rightmost sidebar?

I tried your themes latest update. The horizontal problem is fixed :-)

But, I have new problems now.

    1) When I search for something with rolling archives activated I get an error.

    2) The sidebars do not display properly in IE. They appear near the footer :-(

    3) The brian’s latest comments display with greater line space. Plz fix this.

    Here’s the screenshot

Thanks for this update and please fix these ASAP.

Robert and John, I just uploaded the files again as of writing this, with some changes. So, please download it again.

Robert: That was my mistake, the link list was commented. It works fine now.

John: Thats good news that the horizontal problem is fixed. Infact I haven’t done any changes for that problem :P.

The search is working fine in FF with rolling archives. Its not working in IE. I dont know why, but I guess it’s still in development. I will look in to that later.

I havent checked the sidebars in IE before the release. But I checked it with this update and they are displaying perfect.

The latest comments are also fine now in both FF and IE now.

John it will be difficult If I keep changing for every SVN release. I am aware that revision-345 is released now. But as I started working on this 344 even before revision 345 is released.

Great work, Bharath! This is such a great theme.

Since the sidebar widgets won’t work, how does one modify the sidebars? In the sidebar.php code?

  10. Posted 2 years, 2 months ago. Permalink

Yes K.Zoe, you must edit manually sidebar.php :(

Okay so I’m running your latest 3-column K2 on my site, and I’m having the same problem in IE with the sidebars being at the bottom as John TP. I just downloaded it on Friday, so I’m pretty sure I have the latest version. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks…

Ryan: The latest file is 3k2-Beta.2-revision-344.rar . I have checked it in both IE and firefox before I released it and it looked fine. I checked your site in IE 7 and the sidebars are well placed and I cant see anything wrong.

Zoe: I will look into that widgets thing for the next release. Yes u must edit sidebar.php code to modify the sidebars as Soylopeor said. Thx Soylopeor.

Actually the theme DOES have this problem–but it only shows up when you have an image wider than 380px. Which is why it’s showing up on mine but not yours.

Can you take a look at the following page:

The css goes crazy in the sidebar (enlarged fonts). This is the only category I find the problem in.

    Hi

I just can’t get the search or rolling archives to show up. I’m using the newest version of 3 column and WP 2.o.4

I checked both options to show search and rolling archives but they still don’t appear. I am missing something but I don’t know what?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Paul
